What do I need to bring to shoot?

You must be over 21 to rent handguns, and 18 for shotguns and rifles. A valid ID is also required for entry onto the range. Eye and ear protection are required on the range at all times. You may bring your own, or rent/purchase them from the rental counter. Closed toe shoes recommended.

Can I bring my own firearms?

Yes! Make sure all firearms that enter the building are locked and unloaded. NO EXCEPTIONS! You are always free to bring your own firearms and ammuntion.

How do I rent?

We have several firearms available at the rental counter. You need a valid ID and must be at least 18 to rent rifles and shotguns, and 21 years old to rent handguns. Rental firearms are required to use range ammunition only.

What can I shoot?

Handguns, rifles, and shotguns in any caliber up to a .50 BMG are allowed for use on the range. We try our best to keep the larger calibers in the farthest bays, to accomodate rimfire and handgun shooters.

Can I draw from a holster?

Holster work is only permitted for licensed CCW holders, law enforcement, and those with exposed firearms permits.

What are the age requirements?

You must be 18 or older in order to rent long guns and 21 or older to rent handguns. 17 and under are allowed with adult supervision and completed waiver.

What is the Course of Fire for CCW?

(Each student shoots 50 rounds)

The Gun Range Instructor’s Course of Fire

It is suggested that student fire up to 50 rounds on a B27 target for practice prior to firing for qualification.

ON COMMAND: STUDENT WILL LOAD AND MAKE READY AND SAFELY REHOLSTER

ON COMMAND STUDENT WILL COMPLETE EACH STRING AND WAIT FOR COMMAND TO REHOLSTER.

STRING #1: 12 YARD LINE: Draw from holster, Fire 6 rounds (with two hands), Reload, fire 6 more rounds in 45 seconds.

STRING #2: 7 YARD LINE: Draw from holster, Fire 6 rounds (two hands), Reload, fire 6 more rounds in 30 seconds.

STRING #3: 3 YARD LINE: Draw from holster, Fire Shoot 6 rounds (two hands), Reload, fire 6 more rounds in 15 seconds.

STRING #4: 7 YARDS LINE: Draw from holster and fire 6 rounds with strong-side hand only in 20 seconds.

STRING #5: 7 YARD LINE: From ‘low ready’ position fire 6 rounds with support-side hand only in 20 seconds.

Note: In order to qualify, student must attain a score of 350 out of 500 points on a B-27 target.
